This past weekend, Chapter hosted their first installation event in collaboration with design firm, Thoreen&Ritter at clothing retailer, 12345 in Downtown Los Angeles. A fashionable crowd of 300+ attendees throughout the night entered the transformed space to experience an interactive exploration and framework of fabric and light highlighting the refined aesthetic of Chapter’s Spring/Summer 2014 collection, Lucid Void.
On display, Chapter’s Lucid Void collection focused on accentuated materials that were unique, yet functional and refined. Comprised of the accustomed dark pallet there was an unspoken intensity that nicely countered the loose sense of structure and visible lightness both in silhouette and fabric.
Additionally, guests were able to view Chapter’s latest campaign photographed by Eliot Lee Hazel, conceptualized to evoke a feeling of vastness or immensity and Chapter’s minimalistic approach both in aesthetic and form.
Other objects on display throughout the evening including Chapter’s upcoming collaborative apron piece, a confluence of design and food with the eponymous wolf, Chef Craig Thornton, of the highly choreographed nine-course innovative dinning experience, Wolvesmouth, and is set to release early 2014.
Special thanks to the unique design voice and theory of Brian Thoreen and Brant Ritter, to Thed Jewel of 12345 and to Veev Vodka for providing the libations for the evening.
Chapter’s Spring/Summer 2014 collection will be available in select contemporary men’s retail early 2014.
