Introducing the latest release in Chapter’s new music series, COMPOSITION_DISORDER with artist, Saroos. Based upon the blending of disciplines of similar mind and direction coming together as an inspiration of sorts, COMPOSITION_DISORDER, features the artist’s own uniquely conjured interpretations of dark, distorted but emotionally powerful ambient sound. By creating irregularity in compositional spaces the perspective of scale and the listener’s place is shifted.
The next of the music series, Pocket Dub, is provided by Saroos. Berlin-Munich-Hamburg based trio Saroos read a lot of Sci-Fi, so it should come as little surprise that the music they make sounds downright otherworldly. Florian Zimmer (Driftmachine), Christoph Brandner (Lali Puna, Console) and Max Punktezahl (the Notwist, Contriva) are as much scientists as they are composers and instrumentalists – they’re obsessed with sound as particles in motion, and devoted to creating stylistic collisions that pop as much as they probe. “We’re in the early beginnings of recording our new album and this song came along very fast – think of the bass moving like algae in the ocean while having a meeting with Malá Mořská Víla,” describes Saroos.
Chapter’s COMPOSITION_DISORDER is a new extension of the brand’s voice and perspective and is available online to listen on Chapter’s new music channel at https://soundcloud.com/joinchapter and on the website at http://22.214.171.124/~joinchapter
