ATLANTIC PAST

During Chapter’s last trip to Paris, our Creative Director rented a car and drove out to Normandy in search of the extensive, geometric structures that made up WWII’s Atlantic Wall. The straightforwardness and heavy impediment features of classic, mid-century bunkers integrate form and function with an innovative use of molded concrete that had influence on the harsh ‘Brutalist’ style of design after the war.
