Recently we took a trip to the Republic of Cuba to get a glimpse at the country and its time capsule-like aesthetic. Havana is a city that breathes culture and is visually consuming through its perfectly dilapidated architecture. The size of the city is impressive; you can’t help but reflect on its one time decadence and how it must have been. That being said, when a city is left to disrepair it reaches a point of neglect where vegetation and urban decay creep in and you start to see the city’s soul through new, unplanned beauty. There is a raw feeling of optimism that is like no other city we have ever traveled to.
